We hired N.J. Schmidt Construction to install a "daylight/egress window" in our basement.  This included supervising the excavation and cutting of the foundation. Nick personally installed the 64"x54" window which included the rebuilding of the interior stud wall.  Nick also built the very large and beautiful retaining wall/well.

We highly recommend N.J. Schmidt Construction.  Nick started promply each morning and worked into the evening to get the job done in a timely manner.  He built a 12 course, 7 foot high retaining wall/well which was the perfect size for the large window. We were amazed at his percision and skill in building this wall, real craftsmanship.  We observed how carefully he analyzed, leveled, placed, and in some instances cut the blocks for the perfect look.  It is a work of art and we would definately hire Nick back for any other construction jobs.

I have had six homes built over the years and this home that was built by N.J. Schmidt Construction has by far been the best experience. The home was completed by the promised date....a first, as most of my homes would typically run two months behind schedule. The workmanship in the home is far superior to other comparable homes being constructed in this price range. Nick's construction crew was always polite and professional and willing to help make my home the dream home I had envisioned. Even though my home is now completed, Nick continues to make sure everything is in working order and meeting with my expectations. Working with Nick and his wife Angie was a truly remarkable experience that has become a rare commodity in today's world.
